Lucas is a survivor, a fighter, a miracle, and the happiest and most engaging boy you’ll ever meet. Born 3 1/2 months early, he spent 156 days in the NICU before being welcomed home. He suffered a severe brain bleed, stroke, hydrocephalus, and meningitis.
Today, he is five years old and struggles with challenges from cerebral pasly, cortical vision impairment, seizures, and cognitive and global developmental delays stemming from his injuries at birth. We remain dedicated to intervention and therapies to change his future.
Doctors predicted that he may never eat on his own, walk, or talk. This blog is dedicated to proving them all wrong.
